Using the stories

Who owns what

The original book, One Thousand and One Nights, and Richard F. Burton's 1885 English translation are in the public domain. Our retellings, translations, drawings, page designs and other content are © Mandato Agency. The name "Arabian Nights for Kids" and our logo may not be used in a way that suggests we made or approved something we did not.

Accuracy

We retell each night carefully from the original translation and link to it, and we check real-world facts against named sources, as our editorial policy explains. Even so, mistakes can happen. The site is provided "as is", for reading and learning, and we cannot promise that every page is complete or free of errors. If you find a mistake, please tell us. Our content disclaimer explains more.

Other websites

We link to other websites, such as Project Gutenberg and Wikipedia, so readers can check our sources. We do not control those sites and are not responsible for what they contain.

Our responsibility

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for any loss that comes from using the site or from not being able to use it. Nothing in these terms limits any rights you have under consumer law that cannot be limited.

Changes

We may update these terms when the site changes. The date at the top shows the latest version. These terms are governed by the laws of India.
