Privacy Policy

Last updated 25 October 2026.

Arabian Nights for Kids is a website for children aged 6 to 12 and the grown-ups who read with them. We built it so that nobody has to give us any personal information to use it. This page explains what that means in practice.

Who runs this site

The site is run by Mandato Agency, based in India. For any question about privacy, write to mandato.agency@gmail.com.

The short version

What happens when you visit a page

The site is served by Cloudflare, a hosting company. Like every web server, Cloudflare has to receive your device's IP address and basic request details (the page asked for, the browser type) to send you the page and to protect the site from attacks. Cloudflare may keep these technical records for a short time under its own privacy policy. We do not use them to identify, profile or follow anyone.

The narrator and sound effects

The "Listen" button uses a voice that is already on your device. The story text is read out by your own browser and is not sent to us or to anyone else. The sound effects are made by your browser while you listen. Nothing is recorded, and the microphone is never used.

Settings saved in your browser

If you change a setting in the Accessibility menu (such as text size or high contrast) or turn the background music on, your browser remembers that choice in its own storage on your device. It is not a cookie, it is never sent to us, and you can clear it at any time with "Reset settings" or by clearing your browser's site data. The music is made by your browser and is off until you turn it on.

Emails you send us

If you write to us, we use your email address and message only to reply, and we delete them when the conversation is finished, unless the law requires us to keep them. We never add you to a mailing list. We ask children to get a parent, carer or teacher to write to us for them. If we learn that a child has sent us personal information, we delete it.

Links to other websites

Our pages link to other sites, such as Project Gutenberg, Wikipedia and LinkedIn, so readers can check our sources. Those sites have their own privacy policies, and we are not responsible for them.

Children's privacy laws

Because we collect no personal information from visitors, the site is designed to respect children's privacy laws such as the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) in the United States, the UK Age Appropriate Design Code, the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.

Your rights

Data protection laws give you rights over your personal data, such as the right to see it or have it deleted. As we do not hold personal data about visitors, there is normally nothing for us to show or delete. If you have emailed us, you can ask us at any time to delete your messages.

Changes to this policy

If we change how the site works, we will update this page and the date at the top. If we ever wanted to add something that collects data, such as analytics, we would explain it here first.
